A Growing Number of Medical Experts Promote Low-Carb Diets

grain brainA recent article at Examiner.com reports that many medical experts agree low-carb diets such as the Paleo Diet can have positive effects towards preventing Alzheimer’s and starving cancer. Dr. David Perlmutter, a neurologist and author of the book “Grain Brain”, says a gluten-free, low-carb, high-fat, ketogenic-style diet can help to prevent, and maybe even reverse, diseases like Alzheimer’s, ADHD, heart disease and diabetes.

At Evolve Paleo Chef, we have spent years studying the heath benefits of a Paleo Diet. We have sorted through the studies and can speak to the research and statistics that prove the Paleo Diet contributes to a healthy lifestyle. But none of the charts, and graphs, and years of research compare to the reports we hear straight from our own clients. Sure, many of Evolve’s customers order weekly Paleo meal plans to enhance their Crossfit routines, follow a Paleo lifestyle, or find a convenient way to get food on the table for their families. But a huge number of our customers have found us through doctor’s referrals for a low-carb, high protein diet. These individuals are looking to lower their blood pressure, level their blood sugar, heal a”leaky gut”, incorporate an anti-inflammatory diet, and accomplish many other health goals. We love to hear updates from these customers. Some are now off of their blood pressure medication. Others have lost weight and gained strength. And others are enjoying more general health benefits, like a better night’s sleep, reduced anxiety, and less headaches.
