What happens if I do not pick up my food?

Every Monday each location will give clients with remaining orders a friendly reminder call. We ask that if you are unable to pick up your order to please let us know so we can make other arrangements. If the order is already paid for, we are happy to credit your purchase. On Thursday if we have not received any notice from you we will discard the items. We do appreciate as much notice as possible.

I own a gym, do you have a gym program?

Yes. We love working with gyms. We never force our way in, but offer great incentives to those owners that want to utilize Evolve Paleo Chef. For starters, you will get two "How to Order" signs to post in your gym that tells your clients how they can get free delivery to your gym. On top of that, you will get an Evolve Paleo Banner to hang to show off your support of Evolve Paleo. You also have access to the staff of Evolve to lead nutrition seminars, do samplings and talk about how they can better their health with Paleo. Also, if you agree to, your gym can be an official drop off location. If you want to get your gym started please contact your local Evolve Store.

I ordered my food on Wednesday, can I get it delivered Thursday?

We do small batch cooking here at Evolve. All orders placed before Thursday at midnight will be ready for pickup or delivery on Sunday. If you have any further questions, please feel free to call or email us. If you are looking for lunch today you can always stop into our location and grab an entree from our refrigerator. It is just like you refrigerator at home, only maybe just a little bigger.

What happens if I am not home when you deliver?

It is really helpful if you are home to receive your delivery. We will make every attempt to inform you when we will be delivering. Our drivers will call you to let you know they are on their way. If you are not home we will NOT leave the food. This policy is more strictly enforced in the summer when temperatures are high. The only instance we will leave food is if you give us instructions to do so or you leave a cooler with ice or ice packs outside we can put the food in. If you have any questions regarding this policy, please call us.

If you are not home and our driver does not receive a call back before they finish their route, your order will be become a pickup at your local Evolve Paleo Chef store.

Do you post calorie information for your dishes?

Nope. We (and most of the Paleo world) feel like counting calories is kinda a waste of time. And here is why...

1- Calorie counting is extremely inaccurate. Did you know that calorie counts on menus in restaurants can be up to 20% off? There is no governing body that has oversight on restaurants stated calorie counts...
2- Muscle burns more calories. Everyone is different. 2000 may be enough calories for you but not me. The more muscle the more you have to intake.
3- Quality is more important than quantity. 1 cup of Cheetos has 141 calories in it, 1 cup of avocado has 241. Anyone think Cheetos are better for you than avocados?
4- Calories provide energy.
5- Calorie counting will more than likely lead to stress. I have met calorie counting people, they are intense! Stress is not good for you.
6- Its not a long term solution. Anytime I have tried to count calories, I get bored, see a squirrel, or distracted after about 2 weeks of counting. It is exhausting...
7- Calorie counting prevents you from eating intuitively. If you eat the right foods for your body; your body will tell you when to eat, what to eat. Have you ever been addicted to something (chocolate, caffeine, sugar, vegetables) when you take that away, those cravings are your body speaking to you. Listen to your body (not about sugar and chocolate though.)

I go to X gym. Do I get free delivery?

Yes! We are partnered up with many area gyms to offer free delivery to their gym (and we would like to be invited into more). If your gym is on this list, your food will arrive on Monday between 3-5pm. We try to time it so it hits the first class of the evening session. Contact your local Evolve Paleo Chef store if you have any questions about your specific gym time. Below are the gym codes, just put the appropriate code in the "coupon code" field, apply coupon and select "Deliver to my gym". Easy as that.

Do you have reheating instructions?

Yes and no. That's perfectly clear, right?
All our food is 100% cooked, you do not have to worry about cooking anything, so just reheat until warm. That's it! If there is anything that requires special reheating, we will put a note on your bag to indicate that.

Why do I only have 10 entrees and not 14 in the meal plan?

We have always done 10 entrees and this is done for a few reasons. As a Chef and a person, I hate throwing food away. I feel like, in general, most people would eat out, have lunch with a friend, or cook on their own for two days a week. And most people would have left over entrees at the end of the week and would have to throw them out. Therefore, we decided that we would include only 10. You are always welcome to order more using the a la carte ordering. It also worked well into a nice round number of $165. And it is easier to count to 10 versus 14.

I have a gluten allergy, can I eat Evolve food?

YES!!

All food created by Evolve Paleo Chef is gluten-free, every bit of it. Try going to a restaurant and finding that! As far as other allergies, we place the ingredient list along with common allergy icons on the ordering page. If you hover over the icons they will tell you if the product does or does not contain the ingredient. (Illuminated means the item DOES contain)

What sweeteners does Evolve use?

At Evolve, we try to avoid sweeteners whenever possible. But some things just are not tasty without them. We use only natural sugars. We mainly use honey because it is local and a complete food. We also use pure maple syrup, coconut nectar (sap of the coconut tree) and coconut sugar (dried form of coconut nectar) sparingly.

What if I can’t pickup or receive delivery on Sunday?

No Problem. We host pickup on Monday for all of our locations.

What if I’m traveling one week?

No problem. There is no cost for starting or stopping the service, and never any contracts. Just place an order for the weeks that you want meals, and don't order for the weeks you don't!

Can I request dishes to be made with/without certain ingredients?

No problem! Just let us know what you're thinking and we can see if we can accommodate. However, we are unable to accommodate any special instructions when it comes to soups. Soups for consistency sake are made in a large batch. Items like marinara sauce also start to get dicey when it comes to special instructions. We will make a good faith effort to accommodate every request, if we cannot we will call and tell you and offer some other options. Thanks for understanding!

Can I make special requests?

Absolutely! There is a place next to every entree on the website for such requests. Please do not leave your special food requests in the delivery notes section. If you have any questions, please contact us!

What if I don’t like my food?

This has never been a problem with previous clients, but if it happens, let us know! We are not easily offended and will be happy to either replace the dish with an alternative or provide you with a credit on the following week's invoice. The opposite is also true, if you receive a dish that you absolutely love, let us know! We will try to make it again in the future!

What if I need to cancel my order?

As a courtesy, we ask that you give us a 48 hour notice if you need to cancel your order. This will prevent us from having too much food. We ask that if you do order, please come pick it up. Any food left after Wednesday will be considered an abandoned order and will be placed in our refrigerator upfront for resale.

When and where do you deliver?

Deliveries are on SUNDAYS. If you need a certain delivery time, please call or email us. It is best if you are home to receive your delivery, otherwise we will have to recoordinate your delivery. Unless you give us permission, we will not leave your food at your door. We charge
